Location: the apartments are located in the small town of Colle d’Orano (see the map), 15 miles far from the port of Portoferraio (chief town), municipality of Marciana.

How reach it: Once in Portoferraio, (for ferry-boats connections with Piombino, in the mainland, see websites: www.toremar.it and www.mobylines.it), follow the road signs to Procchio and Marciana Marina. In Marciana Marina take the road to Marciana. The road goes uphill and after about 2 miles watch the fork and ignore the road sign to Marciana via Poggio because the way is longer!!! From Marciana you get to Colle d’Orano after about 5,5 miles. In Colle d’Orano turn right immediately after the little square. The road now is very narrow but you got it!!! There ask for Mrs. Assunta Lupi, the landlady, who will give you the keys.

Seaside distance: the most famous sandy beaches of Cavoli and Fetovaia are just 4-5 miles away from Colle d’Orano, as well as the seaside resorts like S.Andrea, Chiessi and Pomonte. If you don’t like crowd, especially in August, nearby you have a large choice of peaceful creeks (pebbles and rocks) with crystal-clear sea. Those who don’t have a car or a bike can use the useful and efficient public shuttle bus-service named “Marebus” that links up all the most important beaches of the isle.

Comforts: in the village of Colle d’Orano there is a well supplied emporium (Renato’s Store), otherwise in the neighbouring town of Marciana Marina you can find a bigger supermarket (Conad), as well as banks, post office, pharmacy, first aid centre, gasoline pump, yachting- and sailing-boats’ pier, etc. Wherever you can find restaurants, pizzerias, bars, pubs and shops of all kinds. On payment, you also can rent and enjoy boats , wind-surf, scooters, bikes, and diving, fishing, canoing, etc., in all equipped centers and beaches.

Additional expenses to be paid on place (non-optional): departure cleaning 25 Euros and weekly forfeit 10 Euros per person including electric power, gas and water.
Reservation deposit (non-optional): 20% of the whole settlement through telegraph money-order or bank money-transfer, at least 10 days before the arrival. Settlement at the departure.
Loss or damage liability deposit (non-optional): 100 Euros per apartment, refundable at the check-out after a careful examination.
Bath-, bed- and table-linen: not available.
Check-in time: beginning from 4.00 pm. Important!!! Don’t get before 4 o’clock ‘cause nobody will attend you…!!!
Check-out time: latest at 10.00 am for the check-up time.

N.B.: all year long, according to availability, short stays and week-ends are possible.
